SP2 is the second part of a triptych that was originally intended to be shown in three parts: Side Panel 1, in the Margaret Turner Gallery, a small craft gallery in Stockbridge Hants, Side Panel 2 likewise and finally the focal point, the Centre Panel, which was scheduled to be presented in the adjoining woodland.

Due to logistical difficulties sadly the third part had to be cancelled and was finally presented in The Centrespace Gallery in Bristol the following year. The title refers to the “Travelling Icon” carried by pilgrims in medieval times, a hinged folding Triptych.
